05 Aug Photographing Nisha and Arun’s Indian Wedding at Magna Racino, Austria
I had the opportunity to photograph an Indian wedding in Austria, the first in my life. Nisha and Arun both grew up in Vienna, they live currently there, too. We started at the family houses, where preparations took place: Nisha has a really unique beauty, which was accentuated by a really great make-up from Denise Abdel-Kaber. Family gathering at both houses and mutual family prayer having a very important role ensued. After noon we were ready to leave to the church. The two-hour long church ceremony took place in the magnificent Basilika Maria Loretto: Nisha and Arun had a Christian wedding with traditional South Indian elements. They held the reception not too far from the church at Magna Racino, in Ebreichsdorf, where we also took wedding portraits. Magna Racino is the perfect location for large wedding parties. And this wedding party was really large with 300 guests, who traveled to Austria from all over the world. I really enjoyed the whole day, please have a look at the gallery. The wedding film was recorded by Michal Lichner and the excellent team of RECstudio from Slovakia.
