Alex Nenov, also known as DJ Alex, is one of Austria’s top event and wedding DJs. I was thrilled when he asked me to capture his wedding in Vienna. Alex is a friend and colleague, and we\u2019ve had the pleasure of working together at several Austrian weddings. Both Alex and his lovely bride, Elena, share Bulgarian heritage, adding a unique cultural touch to their special day.
The day began with me photographing Elena\u2019s preparations in their apartment before heading over to Alex\u2019s mother\u2019s house to document his getting-ready moments. From there, we hurried to Restaurant La Creperie to ensure we arrived before the ceremony began. Nestled by the Danube (Alte Donau), this charming French restaurant offers breathtaking views and a warm, inviting atmosphere. I managed to capture a few shots of the beautifully decorated dining area before the outdoor ceremony started on the pier.
We were blessed with perfect weather for the ceremony, with the Danube creating a stunning backdrop. After the heartfelt moments of the ceremony, guests gathered to congratulate the happy couple, and I took the opportunity to capture some group photos.
Before dinner, we took a quick trip to Floridsdorfer Wasserpark for a portrait session with Alex and Elena. They were joined by their best man, maid of honor, and a close friend, adding even more fun to the shoot. Alex and Elena\u2019s playful personalities shone through as they incorporated colorful smoke from football flares into their portraits. With the sun setting, we made our way back to the restaurant.
After dinner, the couple cut their wedding cake, followed by traditional Bulgarian rituals. Folk dancers surrounded Alex and Elena, who changed into traditional Bulgarian attire, creating a vibrant and memorable celebration. It was a truly unique wedding, filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
